Kidnap and Ransom Insurance

This cover is unfortunately a growing market as the number of countries that have a reputation for kidnapping grows such as Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan and Somalia and South American countries where it originated.

Although frowned upon by some countries who do not publicly support the paying of ransom amounts the policy offers peace of mind should the need arise.

This policy can be written for individuals or company employees who are travelling to hostile areas.

The policy will cover the financial reimbursement of the costs up to the policy limit including the ransom fee and will also cover the fees and expenses of the response consultants that the insurance company employ to conduct the negotiations

The normal cover is between £1,000,000 and £2,000,000 although higher amounts can be covered if required.
